Uldren's expression was just as subtle as Boone's, really, but there was a softness to his expression that suggested a certain fondness for Boone as well. He let Boone have his hand, followed him without any resistance. He ignored the vines as well, or tried to - they reminded him of the creeping nature of the Garden, the way the place was so full of life. He could remember watching his fingernails grow, and he recalled Jolyon's -- it didn't matter, actually.

He liked the feeling of Boone's lips against his, the way the other man's hand ran through his hair. His own hand found Boone's cheek, gently cupping it. He seemed in no rush to break the kiss and pull away and it seemed like the vines agreed with the sentiment as they wound around their hands.

He was also a little breathless when Boone pulled away. He noted that Boone didn't pull that far away, just enough to check him. Uldren was regarding Boone much in the same way; he was wanting to see if Boone was wanting more. When he recognized his own searching in Boone's face he waited no longer and pulled Boone to him and into another kiss. Where in the past he was tentative and deferred to Boone, he did not now: the kiss was strong and firm, not quite aggressive but there was an edge there. His free hand pulled Boone closer to him.
